Maya Community Based Rehabilitation is a community program to help families with HIV/AIDS infected children in the community itself, in Tiruvannamalai area.
Our specialized staff is going house by house to check the situation of these mothers and children: this means furnishing to them medical, psychological, nutritional and educational support.
So, our role is to furnish them medicines, dry food, house support and all the cure they need, giving suggestion about which food is better for them, and finding solutions for any problem is coming. Sometimes also we furnish a skills development help for the entire family.

Every year, during Pongal – a famous hindu festival that is usually coming in January month – we provide coloured new Sarees for the mothers in the community. Festivals like this, are very important for the entire community, giving the sense of integrity and togetherness.
After many years we support mothers and children inside the community, it is visible that now the community itself can be able to accept them, without neglecting or judging: but with the strong energy of love and compassion.
